Frank Rudolph Guitar Lessons

Frank has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education as well as a performance degree in modern jazz guitar from Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. Specific studies include jazz composition, classical guitar, theory, jazz harmony, and big band arranging. In addition to performing in and out of the tri-state area and teaching music privately in Boston and New York, Frank started the Orange County School of Music in 1990 with a staff of three and since expanded and changed the name to the New York School of Music and Fine Arts, which employs over thirty teachers who specialize in music, art, and theater. Most recently, Frank has opened Main Street Music and Art Studio in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Mr. Rudolph has a wide range of teaching styles and has shared that knowledge with countless students for the past thirty years. Thousands of students have passed through Frank′s vision of music and art education and Frank and his staff look forward to teaching thousands more.

John V. Gioia Art Lessons

Art, Piano, Guitar, Drums

John V. Gioia was born and raised in Queens, New York. He is a current member of the Orange County Arts Council. John was the winner of the 2005 New York City Library solo exhibition, where his work was on display in the New York City Library. His work was also recognized in the 2005 issue of EMB Magazine for artistic merit.


As well as being an accomplished artist, John is also an experienced teacher and performer with guitar, drums, and piano. John has been teaching at Main Street Music and Art for close to 6 years and enjoys working with children as well as adults.

Piano, Violin

In 2013 Tierny graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in music theory and composition. Tierny began teaching private lessons while she was still attending New Paltz. Tierny took classical piano lessons while at school and played the violin in the orchestra throughout her time there.  While studying at New Paltz, Tierny found a new appreciation for jazz and took some theory and piano classes studying Jazz performance.  Tierny likes all kinds of music and currently plays in local bands around the Hudson Valley.

Drums

Andy is a singing drummer based out of the Hudson Valley in New York.  In the classic rock cover band, "Selden" ,  he sings lead vocals and drums.  He also plays drums for the Led Zepellin tribute band, "No Quarter".  

Andy has a Jazz Studies-Performance degree from New Paltz and has learned to love Jazz and Blues. Since graduation Andy has sang and played drums in many bands on an immense amount of stages and has recorded a great amount of tracks in studios.

Sandy Brandman Violin Lessons
  Tierny Greene  

Violin, Viola

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Music & Arts. She has worked in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York City as a music copyist, editor and librarian for various music publishers including Boosey & Hawkes and G. Schirmer. She actively plays viola and violin in several local orchestras and ensembles including Rockland Symphony, Cortland Chamber Ensemble, Northern Westchester Symphony, and SUNY-Orange Orchestra. In addition, she has performed with Newburgh Symphony and the Family Opera of New Jersey. For nearly 20 years Sandy has been a regular chorus member and librarian with the Hudson Opera Theatre.

  Matt   

Guitar, Bass, Ukulele,Dobro, Lap Steel, Mandolin

Matt has been teaching full time since the latter 80's.  He specializes in all styles and genres of guitar. He is also proficient in bass, mandolin, ukulele, lap steel, and dobro. He has the ability to construct bass lines ranges from Bach style figures to jazz parts.  Matt graduated from the Darrow School in New Lebanon N.Y. in 1975. After graduation he went to College at Westchester Conservatory of Music as a jazz performance major. Matt  builds his own guitar pedals and high-end guitars.  Matt also has a small recording studio in his home where typically Matt will play most of the instruments, and produce, arrange parts for his clients as well as engineer the sound.

Geoff Vidal Saxophone Lessons
  Geoff Vidal    

Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Jazz Improvisation

A native of Cape Cod, Ma Geoff Vidal is currently serving in the US Army as Staff Sergeant in the West Point Band as a jazz & pop saxophonist.  Geoff received his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance ('98-'03) from UMASS Amherst where he won several Downbeat Student Music Awards as an outstanding collegiate soloist.

In 2003, Geoff was accepted into the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and immediately following he moved to New Orleans where he lived and toured until Hurricane Katrina ravaged the city in 2005.  Geoff moved to New York City in the wake of Katrina and quickly ensconced himself as a much sought-after woodwind player in many big bands and small ensembles among the likes of the Arturo O’Farrill’s Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, the Artie Shaw Orchestra and Etienne Charles.  In 2010, he released his debut album She Likes That  on the Arts & Music Factory label to critical acclaim.  In 2012, Vidal took first place in the first ever Detroit Jazz Festival Saxophone Competition earning a featured spot performing at the 2012 DJF.  Geoff lives in Cornwall with his wife Stephanie and their young son, Lucas.
